what would I do without music

I went snowboarding on Monday!! Me and Josh and Marie and Dave and Mike went to Mount Baker and boarded all day! It was snowing really hard and me and Marie accidentally took the wrong lift up and ended up where all the black diamonds were. Fortunately we found an easier way down, although it sure wasn't easy and it was Marie's first time. We ended up in about 5 feet of powder because neither of us knew how to board powder properly. So it took us 2 and a half hours to get down the first run. Then we had lunch and found some easier hills. One of the funniest parts was when we were coming off the chair lift and Marie instantly fell on her face! It was hilarious. She stood, and then she just fell. I laughed quite hard. And the next day we were horribly sore and wanted to die. But it was all worth it. The snow was amazing and it was great because Josh is leaving tomorrow and I may never see him again. Oh Josh, I will miss your inappropriateness in public and your sensitivity in private.
This weekend is my Columbia Singers concerts. Unrelated, the Backstreet Boys have a new song!! I am so excited. Leave me alone, I am emotionally attatched. Tonight is O.C. night. I look forward to it every week. Congregating over a glorified soap opera. And all the new characters are gone! Yessssss.
I've done quite well with forgetting that I'm missing the Killers concert in 2 weeks. Boo. Oh well, Europe here I come!

i went bowling today

funny how time can get away from you. last week was horrendous. I had 4 papers to write on top of my regular homework, a youth conference on the weekend, and I helped out with View Day, which meant i had overnight people from Thursday to Friday. They were great and all, but I was really tired. Then on Saturday night me and Marie had a sleepover and we stayed up until 4:30 in the morning and so we skipped church (gasp) and slept until 12:30 pm. It was glorious.
The youth conference was awesome. Tony Campolo was the speaker (anyone read any of his books?) and he was hilarious! And for one of the workshops I got to ride in a police car and get a tour of the police station! The inmates get eggos for breakfast and pizza pops for lunch and dinner. But the whole system is really sad. I also learned a lot about restorative justice, which is an alternative way of dealing with crimes that involve an offender and a victim. I'll elaborate sometime. What else, what else. Oh me and Tamara have started swimming laps at the rec centre by our school. I love swimming. I go to Europe in less than a month. CRAZY!! Except my travel agent just sent me a bill for eleven hundred dollars and that is a lot. alot alot. i am tired. yes i am. i'm going to sleep now. nightynight.

rememberences

Just some remembering things to take care of. When me and Phil went to visit Mike in November Britt was there for the weekend cuz she was taking classes to be able to teach english in China. So because Mike's apartment is so small she and I shared his fouton. And when we got there she had written us a note welcoming us and telling us how excited she was to see us and she loved us. I found that note the other day, along with an encouragement note she wrote me at camp. Anyways, she got up at like 6 in the morning on Fridya to make breakfast for Mike before he went to work in the morning. And then she went back to sleep because she didn't even have to be up that early. That's how awesome she was. I didn't get to see her at Christmas, but she baked cookies for Phil and I and I actually just barely finished eating them. They were amazing. all colorful with icing and sprinkles. i wish i had one more left. Then in January on her way back from visiting Kaleo with one of her roomies she stopped in Abbotsford to have breakfast with Tam, James and me. It scares me to think about how close we came to not being able to set up that meeting. I'm so glad it worked out. I showed her my room and everything. At camp Britt always made me feel loved. She always gave me hugs and was hilarious and just so loving. I visited her grave before i left on Sunday. It was really hard and I cried a lot. But i'm glad i went home because it was kind of good closure i think. and i got to see everyone which was so great. I'm glad you were all there. Thanks guys. I love you.
