passion or lackthereof
we don't have it. we don't get excited about anything anymore. in high school when i realized that we had no school spirit, i thought "oh well, it's just because we're mennonites". So i was excited when i went to b.c. because i figured with all the non-mennos there it would be different. Ok so i did go to a formostly mennonite college, but most of the students weren't, and still there was little spirit, little passion. Barely anyone came out to school games, only a few people dressed up for the theme days, and i was dissapointed. i wanted it to be like, everyone dressed up/comes to the games so it's wierd if you don't. i think the USA is better at that than us. Anyways, then phil and i got tickets to the grey cup and i was pumped for the crowd and all the cheering and being a part of it. And what happened? Well lets just say that the majority of people around me were more interested in people chugging beer than actually watching the game. And then the one idiot yells that we're jerks for not cheering for the stupid guy wearing a monkey costume. Well helLO i'm at the frickin grey cup and i am going to be cheering for the fooball thank you very much. so overall in life, i am dissapointed with the lack of passion and enthusiasm. I just want to be somewhere where EVERYONE is getting excited and showing it. why is that so impossible?
