wedding

We left Friday night at 10pm and drove straight through to Lethbridge. I don't know how to drive a stick so i go to sleep for about an hour at a time, which really makes the time pass i tell ya. Anyways, Eric tried driving once, but he only made it about an hour and a half and we were 10 minutes from Swift Current and he had to pull over or we would all die in a horrific accident. Phil is a driving machine. I don't know how he does it.
Lethbridge was gorgeous as always, sunny, snow melting, but verrry windy. The boys tried using our doors as sails once. Our room was pretty much crap, and we ended up paying $40 extra a night just cuz of the stUPid curling tournament and also the hotel people lost my intial reservation, but we've faxed them a letter so that better get cleared up (don't get me started).
It was awesome to see joel and lindsey, and we actually got to hang out with joel quite a bit, which i didn't expect, but it was nice. Whilst the boys went paintballing, i had no one but joel's mom to hang out with, and she had a hair appointment scheduled, so i got one too! Best haircut ever. Too bad it's in lethbridge and it costs $150 to drive there and back. Oh well, i'll look good for at least a month.
We almost missed the wedding cuz we shopped at VV til 2:30 without realizing it (wedding was at 3). Fastest i have ever gotten ready EVER. Lindsey was gorgeous. Her dress was sort of grecian (her mom made it) with purple underneath and white overlay with a purple band sort of empire waistish. For the reception she could take off the white overthing and just have a purple skirt. Joel wore this awesome black beatles style jacket and looked verrry handsome. They showed a Rob Bell video instead of having a message thing which was pretty cool. The reception was fun with real hors d'blahblahblah that eric dared phil to eat lol. Got to see eric bust his "moves" yet again, annnnnd me and phil got in a slow dance as well. Good times. Actually one of the best times i think.
The downside to all this was that we were all pretty sick with sore throats and coughing and sneezing and such the whole time, my throat felt like it was made of metal pipes and someone was using a saw on them whenever i talked, swallowed, etc. You just don't realize how often you swallow until every swallow feels like death. BUT. now we are home and my grandma gave me a bag fulla stuff to help me recuperate. Anyone wanna tell me how melissa's wedding was?
